Restaurant and café furniture from Turkey, for chains that open again and again

A restaurant or café chain can buy its restaurant furniture from Turkey as one store kit: chairs, stools, tables, booths and the counter joinery, approved once and re-ordered for every new site. Rovers prices the kit per format with the Turkish partner factories that make contract seating and joinery, holds the approved spec on file, and ships each opening as its own labelled order, installed outside the US (in the US: manufactured and delivered).

Sheet SC-11Reviewed Rovers Contract

Restaurant furniture from Turkey pays off when the same room is built many times. A chain approves one set of chairs, tables, booths and counter joinery, and every new store orders that set again. Rovers prices the kit with the Turkish partner factories that make contract seating, tables and joinery, keeps the approved codes and finishes on file, and runs each opening as a repeat order. Turkish restaurant groups opening abroad already ship their furniture from Turkey this way.

The store kit per format

One kit per format, with each line priced. The quantities below are typical for each format; the chain’s own store drawing replaces them on every real order.

Line Kiosk or grab-and-go Café, about 80 m² Café, about 150 m² Quick-service, about 200 m²

Each line on the quote carries the chain’s item code, size, frame, finish, fabric and foam, the unit price and the total for that store. Quick-service seating is built to the higher durability level below.

How seating is tested for a restaurant

Two tests decide the chair: how much use it takes, and how its upholstery behaves in a fire.

Market Durability Fire (upholstered seats, booths)
European Union and UK EN 16139 Level 1 for cafés, restaurants and canteens; Level 2 “severe use” for high-frequency fast food. Tables to EN 15372 UK: BS 7176, restaurants and pubs normally medium hazard (Crib 5). EU: EN 1021-1 and -2 are the usual specification
Gulf Brand and fit-out contractor specification Civil Defence approval of fabrics and foam. In Saudi Arabia, outdoor furniture is a SABER-listed product
United States Contract seating specified to BIFMA tests by the designer 16 CFR 1640 (TB 117-2013)

The current edition is BS EN 16139:2025. A booth seat in a fast-food store sees far more sits per day than a café chair, so the frame, joints and fixings are chosen for the level the chain names.

Approve once, re-order per opening

  1. First order: samples of every frame, finish and fabric, then a sample corner or mock-up with a booth, a table and two chairs. The chain signs it off.
  2. Frozen spec: codes, finishes, fabric and foam per line are held in the order file. The next store orders by format and quantity, without re-specifying.
  3. Call-off: a chain with a steady opening plan can ask for frames or finished stock held against a committed volume. Whether a factory holds stock, and on what terms, is agreed per chain.
  4. Per-store packing: each opening ships as its own labelled order, matched to the store drawing and packed by zone (dining, counter, terrace).

Lead time is quoted twice: for the first order (samples, approval, production) and for a repeat (production or stock, then shipping). Every repeat order is checked against the approved sample before packing, finish by finish.

Single sites and hotel outlets

A single restaurant usually buys through a local fit-out contractor who also handles approvals, kitchen and MEP. Rovers can supply that contractor the loose furniture and joinery as a subcontract. Restaurants and bars inside a hotel are priced within the hotel package.

Shop fixtures

Retail stores can put wall bays, gondolas, display tables, cash desks and fitting-room joinery on the same priced schedule when the store drawings include them. Rovers prices those lines from the drawings with a joinery or shopfitting factory, on the same approve-once model.

Delivery and installation

Outside the US, Rovers installs each store and hands it over against the store drawing. In the US, Rovers manufactures and delivers, and the chain’s own contractor fits the store.

What to send us

Send the store drawing for each format, the approved finish board or current store photos, the number of openings planned and the cities. A chain changing supplier can send the existing item list and a photo of each piece.
