Hotels, serviced apartments and residential towers in Kuwait are often fitted out by a main contractor who lets the joinery and FF&E as one package. Turkey makes that package: wall panelling, wardrobes, vanities, doors, counters, casegoods, beds and headboards, and upholstery. Rovers prices every line with the Turkish partner factory that fits, sends shop drawings for approval, runs samples, follows production, inspects before packing, ships and installs on site. Kuwait bought USD 8.37 million of Turkish HS 9403 furniture in 2025 (UN Comtrade).
What the package covers
| Package | What Turkey makes | What comes with it |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed joinery | Wall panelling, wardrobes, vanities, doors and frames, reception and bar counters | Shop drawings from the site survey, finish samples, a mock-up |
| Loose FF&E | Casegoods, beds and headboards, sofas, chairs, tables | Priced line by line against the FF&E schedule |
| Upholstery | Seating, banquettes, upholstered beds | Fire test reports for the fabric and filling as built |
| Public areas | Lobby, restaurant and lounge furniture and joinery | The same approval and inspection steps |
Route to Kuwait
| Leg | How it runs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sea, then truck | Container from Mersin through Suez to Jeddah, then by road across Saudi Arabia into Kuwait | Carriers run road corridors from Jeddah to Kuwait (Loadstar, Mar 2026); transit quoted per booking |
| Road, TIR | Truck from Turkey through Ibrahim Khalil into Iraq, then south to Kuwait, or across Saudi Arabia from Arar | The Iraq–Saudi TIR corridor was trialled in April 2026 with no change of truck at the borders (Iraq Business News); transit quoted per booking |
| Delivery | Truck to site in Kuwait City or elsewhere | Loaded in the order the site installs, floor by floor |
Sea routes into the Gulf have been disrupted during 2026, so we quote Gulf deliveries by land and via Jeddah, with the route and its validity written on the quotation.

The packing list doubles as the site’s crate list: one line per item code, floor and room.
Standards and approvals
Kuwait’s standards are run by the Standards and Metrology Department of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI), which applies about 300 standards drawn from US, EU, ISO and GCC sources (ITA). Under PAI’s conformity scheme, KUCAS, foam mattresses are among the regulated products: each shipment needs a Technical Evaluation Report and a Technical Inspection Report issued before shipment by a PAI-approved body, while other furniture is not on the KUCAS list (Intertek).
Fire safety on a building is approved by the Kuwait Fire Force. For a joinery and FF&E package, the consultant usually asks for the reaction-to-fire class of panelling as built, fire test reports for upholstery and mattresses, and separate evidence for any fire-rated door set. These answers sit with each line from the first quote.
What to send us
Send the joinery and FF&E drawings or BOQ, the finish schedule, the consultant’s fire and material requirements, the site location and the dates each floor must be ready. With no BOQ, the drawings are enough for a first priced schedule.
