Care home and senior living furniture packages from Turkey

Care home and senior living furniture from Turkey comes as one package: resident rooms, lounges, dining rooms and staff areas, with wipe-clean contract upholstery and furniture drawn for older residents. Rovers prices every line with the Turkish partner factory that fits it, builds a sample room for approval, then makes, inspects, ships and installs by floor (in the US: manufactured and delivered); profiling beds and other medical devices stay with certified medical makers.

Sheet SC-15Reviewed Rovers Contract

Care home furniture from Turkey is built by the contract case-goods and upholstery factories that furnish hotels. Care homes and senior living buildings need hotel-quality rooms that are easy to clean, safe to lean on and simple to read for residents with failing sight or memory. Rovers prices the package from the operator’s drawings, approves a sample room before production, and leaves medical devices to the certified makers that supply them.

Scope: supplied and by others

Area Rovers supplies By others (certified medical maker)
Resident room Wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, armchair, side table, desk or dressing table, mirror, headboard panel Profiling bed, pressure-care mattress, hoist
Lounges Sofas, armchairs at several seat heights, coffee and side tables, display shelving Powered riser-recliner chairs, where the operator classes them as care equipment
Dining Dining tables at standard and wheelchair height, dining chairs with arms, servery joinery
Corridors and reception Reception desk, seating alcoves, display shelves, memory boxes by room doors
Staff areas Nurse-station joinery, staff room furniture, lockers, office furniture Medicine trolleys and clinical carts

Profiling beds are medical devices (in the EU under Regulation 2017/745). Rovers does not supply them. The schedule lists them as by others, with their sizes, so the bedside cabinet and wardrobe positions are drawn around them.

Drawn for older residents

Care operators and designers ask for features that make a room easier to use. They go on the shop drawings line by line:

Need How the furniture answers it
Standing up from a chair Firm seats at set heights, arms that reach the front edge, chairs weighted so they don’t tip when leaned on
Failing sight Strong colour contrast between seat and floor, table and wall; matt finishes that don’t glare
Memory loss Wardrobes with a glazed or open section so contents are visible; plain handles in a contrasting colour
Falls and knocks Rounded corners and edges on tables, bedside cabinets and wardrobe doors
Spills and incontinence Wipe-clean, moisture-barrier upholstery; removable seat covers; clean-out gap between seat and back
Heavy daily use High rub-count fabrics; hard-wearing edges; fixings that stay tight

Secure dementia or mental-health units may need anti-ligature or tamper-proof furniture. Rovers prices those pieces only against the operator’s own written specification.

Sample room and handover

A sample resident room and a lounge corner are built from production materials, then tried by the operator’s care team: seat heights, arm positions, how a wardrobe opens from a wheelchair. Changes go back into the drawings before production. Packing follows floor and room. Outside the US, Rovers installs room by room and closes a snag list per floor. In the US, Rovers manufactures and delivers, and the operator’s installer fits the rooms.

What to send us

Send the room and lounge layouts, the number of resident rooms per type, the care type (residential, nursing, dementia, assisted living), the city and the opening date. The operator’s furniture specification, if there is one, saves a round of questions.
