In Qatar, a hotel or residence interior can be let as one fit-out package, with the joinery and FF&E inside it. Turkey can make that part: wall panelling, doors, wardrobes, vanities, reception and bar counters, headboards, casegoods and loose furniture. Rovers prices every line with the Turkish partner factory that fits, sends shop drawings for approval, runs samples, follows production, inspects before packing, delivers to site and installs. Qatar bought USD 14.8 million of Turkish HS 9403 furniture in 2025 (UN Comtrade).
What a fit-out contractor can hand over
| Package | What Turkey makes | What comes with it |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed joinery | Wall panelling, wardrobes, vanities, doors and frames, counters | Shop drawings from your site survey, finish samples, a mock-up |
| Loose FF&E | Casegoods, beds and headboards, sofas, chairs, tables | Priced line by line against the FF&E schedule |
| Upholstery | Seating, banquettes, upholstered beds | Fire test reports for the cover, interliner and foam as built |
| Public areas | Lobby, restaurant, bar and lounge furniture and joinery | The same approval and inspection steps |
The contractor keeps the main contract and the site. We take the joinery and FF&E lines, from the BOQ to installation, and answer for them as one team.
Route to Qatar
| Route | How it runs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sea, then truck | Container from Mersin through Suez to Jeddah, then by road across Saudi Arabia into Qatar | Carriers run road corridors from Jeddah to Qatar (Loadstar, Mar 2026); transit quoted per booking |
| Road, TIR | Truck from Turkey through Ibrahim Khalil (Iraq) into Saudi Arabia at Arar, then on to Qatar | Corridor trialled in April 2026 with no change of truck at the borders (Iraq Business News); transit quoted per booking |
| Delivery | Truck to the site in Doha, Lusail or elsewhere | Loaded in the order the site installs, floor by floor |
Sea routes into the Gulf have been disrupted during 2026, so we quote Gulf deliveries by land and via Jeddah, with the route and its validity written on the quotation.
Packing follows the contractor’s site logic: one line per item code, floor and room, so the store team can call off by area.

Civil Defence and fire evidence
Qatar Civil Defence’s Fire Prevention Department publishes the list of product certification bodies and testing laboratories it currently recognises, including UL, FM, VdS, LPCB, Bureau Veritas and others (Rev. 13, Aug 2024). For a joinery and FF&E package, these are the fire questions to settle with the consultant:
- Fire-rated doors: the door set is its own product, with test and certification evidence from a recognised body. It is priced and documented as its own line.
- Wall panelling and linings: the reaction-to-fire class of the build-up as made (core, veneer or HPL, adhesive, finish), for example a class under EN 13501-1 where the consultant asks for it.
- Upholstered seating and mattresses: fire test reports for the fabric and filling combination as built.
- Board and finish: board grade, edge type and finish code per item, matched to the approved sample.
These answers sit with each line from the first quote, so the consultant’s material submittal does not wait on the factory. Qatar’s standards body is the General Organization for Standardization, and conformity can be shown by a manufacturer’s certificate, a self-declaration or reports from accredited laboratories (ITA).
What to send us
Send the joinery and FF&E drawings or BOQ, the finish schedule, the consultant’s fire and material requirements, the site location and the date each floor must be ready. With no BOQ, the drawings are enough for a first priced schedule.
